Free Lakewood Paper Shredding Returns in April

Identify theft is always a concern in the day and age we live in, and the City of Lakewood and EDCO Waste Services are teaming up to help combat the issue. Lakewood residents are invited to safely dispose of paper or documents with sensitive information like old checks, bank statements and other important paper items during the “Lakewood Shreds!” event on Saturday, April 2.

Residents can dispose of three boxes of documents, which will be shredded on site by a shredding company hired by the city. The event will run from 9am to 12pm with the drop off center being located behind the Lakewood library (Enter from Civic Center Way off of Del Amo Boulevard or Candlewood Street. The exit for the event will be the driveway to Clark Avenue.)
