How To Make a Summer Inspired Coffee Table

Summer is right around the corner, so now is the time to begin changing up your apartment’s décor to get that inviting summery feel. Remodeling your style can get expensive, so instead of buying everything, why not put your DIY skills to work and make something yourself? One of the easiest way to make a décor piece is by trying your hand at a coffee table. Here are the quick instructions:

Step 1: find an old (or new) palette lying around. You can buy these or find them online for free. People on Craigslist give them away all the time.

Step 2: buy some sandpaper (which cost a few dollars) and sand the palette down as much as possible. This will be the hardest part of the process, so take your time and sand it correctly.

Step 3: Buy a 2×4 from Home Depot (these cost $2 or $3) and measure and cut the leg size you want for your coffee table. You can look at other tables for reference.

Step 4: Secure the legs to the palette with screws and a few brackets. Again, this sounds harder than it really is. And if you do not have tools, you can probably borrow some from a friend.

Step 5: Pick a bright and bold summer color and paint.
