Looking for a good area to go hiking near Lakewood? There are a few locations near by but one place, in particular, stands out Signal Hill Trail. Signal Hill has breath taking views of :

• Palos Verdes
• Los Angeles and Orange County

The trail is 1.9 miles, it is a moderate hike for people who want a little exercise but don’t want to over do it. Dogs are always welcome, on a leash of course. Children love the view from up top or enjoy a colorful sunset with your significant other. Come up to Signal Hill Trail this weekend and hike for fun!

Gum Grove Park is our second recommendation for an ideal area to go hiking near Lakewood. Nestled next to the Los Cerritos Wetlands, this park has various single way hiking trails. The interesting thing about this nature park is that it is one of only thirty salt marshes left in Southern California. Along the main trail, you will see and small eucalyptus trees which provide shade to the park. Also, dog friendly, this hiking destination is a small gem hidden in Seal Beach, just eleven miles from Lakewood.
